The Seametrics CT2X Smart Sensor combines conductivity, salinity, total dissolved solids (TDS), temperature, and optional water level monitoring into a single rugged submersible instrument. Designed for environmental, groundwater, surface water, and industrial monitoring applications, the CT2X delivers reliable, high-accuracy measurements while storing hundreds of thousands of records internally for long-term unattended deployment.
At the heart of the CT2X is advanced 4-electrode conductivity technology, providing stable and accurate measurements across a wide conductivity range. This proven design minimizes polarization effects, reduces measurement errors caused by electrode fouling, and delivers dependable performance in changing water conditions. The durable epoxy-graphite sensing element is engineered for harsh field environments and can be quickly cleaned with a simple brush, minimizing maintenance and downtime.
For users requiring water level data, the optional pressure sensor incorporates a highly stable, temperature-compensated piezoelectric sensing element, allowing conductivity and level measurements to be collected simultaneously from a single deployment. Integrated temperature measurement ensures accurate compensation and improved data quality under varying environmental conditions.
The CT2X operates on two replaceable AA batteries for extended field deployments, or can be powered externally for continuous monitoring and data-intensive applications. Multiple sensors can be networked together, creating a scalable monitoring system for wells, lakes, rivers, reservoirs, wetlands, treatment facilities, and industrial process water applications.
Whether you're collecting standalone field data or integrating into an existing monitoring network, the CT2X offers exceptional flexibility. Modbus RTU and SDI-12 communication protocols allow seamless integration with telemetry systems, data loggers, PLCs, SCADA systems, and remote monitoring platforms. Users can configure and retrieve data using the free Seametrics Aqua4Plus® software or communicate directly through their preferred software and control systems.
