Measuring the temperature you feel:
As you know, low temperatures are dangerous for the human body. But did you know that the wind has a major influence on the actual temperatures felt by your body? Take the Skywatch Meteos with you wherever you go and you'll instantly know how your body feels, so you can avoid the risk of frostbite and hypothermia.
Calculation:
The temperature felt is calculated by taking into account the ambient temperature and the wind speed. In windy conditions, it gives an indication of heat loss if the temperature is below 37°C and heat gain if the temperature is above 37°C.
For example: an ambient temperature of 0°C and a wind of 30 km/h have the same effect on your body as a temperature of -7.8°C!
